The servo motor and the servo drive are connected to each other via a single cable, instead of having to use two or three cables as is usually the case. With this one-cable quick-connect system SPEED-CONNECT it is possible to carry power, encoder connection and brake control through a single cable. This system offers several advantages, e.g., the fast routing of a single cable and a smaller installation footprint since the cable routing takes up less space. Another aspect is that only one cable needs to be cleaned, which is very advantageous for industrial sectors that must meet very strict hygiene requirements. In addition, the cable can be ordered not only in exact lengths stepped per decimeter but also features an M17 connector or motor-side M12 (this is the smallest OCC connector in the world).
