Efficient manufacturing of control cabinets thanks to automated conductor and cable labeling
In machining and preparation of conductors there is still great potential to increase efficiency. Up to 30% of the working time in the manufacture of control cabinets is devoted solely to identification processes.
Phoenix Contact guarantees a time saving of around 60 percent with the modular Thermomark E Series system, consisting of a roll-to-roll thermal transfer printer and three applicators. Printing and application are performed in a single automated process step. With the new system, the different cross-section ranges are identified in a time-saving way using cable wrap labels, heat-shrinkable sleeves, or an innovative marker in an endless format. For this, the markers are rotated in the printer and, subsequently, the applicator automatically mounts them on conductors and cables.
In combination with the ergonomic worker assistance system clipx Wire assist, this efficiency in conductor fabrication increases even more. The flexible and ergonomic workstation guides you, supported by software, through the semi-automatic conductor preparation and wiring process, controls the relevant output devices, and provides the necessary data-based information (CAE data).
