Desde OmnielectricWe announce the completion of the VISITRON project, a collaborative initiative focused on the stamping industry with innovations in computer vision for quality control.
The VISITRON Project and Computer Vision
The VISITRON project consists of an Intelligent Computer Vision System designed for defect detection and quality control in the stamping sector. This project aims to industrially research advanced computer vision techniques for their application in the quality control processes of parts. The goal is to develop a digitized methodology that optimizes the continuous improvement strategy and manufacturing, improving resource use, supporting employees’ work and reducing carbon emissions.
As a key player in this project, Omnielectric has played a prominent role in researching advanced computer vision solutions, bringing its expertise in electrical and electronic technologies for automotive.
Thanks to the active collaboration of Omnielectric and other consortium entities such as NUTAI, LEMEC , under the coordination of Catalonia Automotive Industry Cluster – CIAC and the Valencian Community Automotive and Mobility Cluster – AVIA, the VISITRON project has achieved significant advances in the research and application of vision, automation and robotics, setting new standards in the sector and laying the groundwork for future innovations in the industry.
The project is funded by the 2023 call for Innovative Business Groups (File No. AEI-010500-2023-239) from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism (MINTUR)
