Omnielectric participates in the PERTE NAVAL: SAIL2FUTURE tractor project

SAIL2FUTURE PERTE Naval tractor project

The  PERTE NAVAL is a strategic project for the recovery and economic transformation of the naval industry focused on diversification, digitalization and sustainability. Within this framework Omnielectric Participates in the SAIL2FUTURE tractor project: Marine Renewable Energies for a More Specialized, Efficient and Sustainable Maritime Transport with file number PNA-010000-2023-3

RECIBATNAV primary project of SAIL2FUTURE

Omnielectric together with companies such as NUTAI y Reparaciones Navales Canarias, S.A. are part of this project, backed by the program of “Aid for Actions of Integration and Transformation of the Industrial Value Chain in the Naval Sector”. Under file number PNA-020100-2023-50.

RECIBATNAV Project Objectives

  • The main objective of RECIBATNAV is to revolutionize naval propulsion through the following initiatives:
  • Design of a BatteryPack adapted to naval propulsion: This system aims to integrate second-life batteries from electric vehicles, providing a sustainable and cost-effective solution for naval propulsion.
  • Implementation of a specific battery management system: Omnielectric will lead the development of an advanced Battery Management System (BMS), optimizing the efficiency and safety of reused batteries.
  • Advancement in the digitization of the system: digital technologies will be developed and applied to monitor and control battery performance, ensuring optimal operation under various maritime conditions.
  • Design of digital operation algorithms: These algorithms will be aimed at improving energy efficiency and sustainability of vessels such as fishing boats, recreational motor yachts and inland watercraft.

Commitment to Innovation and Sustainability

Omnielectric’s participation in the PERTE NAVAL demonstrates our firm commitment to innovation and sustainability in the naval industry. Through this project, we aim not only to improve the efficiency and sustainability of maritime transport but also to make a significant contribution to reducing the sector’s carbon footprint.
